· A Letter from the Founders ·
Dear traveler,
EzyRoute started with a frustration we kept running into while traveling. My boyfriend and I would arrive in a new city, open Google Maps, look for the best-rated places, and follow the numbers. 4.7 stars. 4.8 stars. Thousands of reviews. Sometimes even a long queue outside, which made us think: okay, this must be good. And then, too often, it wasn’t.
The food was average. The place felt overhyped. The experience was built more for tourists than for people who actually love the city. After falling into that trap a few times, we noticed something: the best moments almost never came from the highest-rated places online.
A friendly waiter. Someone behind the counter at a coffee shop. A quick conversation with a local who, after a smile and a simple question, would tell us where they actually go for pizza, local food, a quiet drink, or a beautiful walk.
Those tips changed everything. They took us to places we would never have found through rankings alone — small restaurants, hidden corners, family-run spots, neighborhood favorites, and routes that made a city feel alive.
That is why we built EzyRoute. We believe travel should feel less like scrolling through endless reviews and more like having a local friend in every city. Our mission, simple: help travelers discover cities through the people who know them best.
We want to move away from generic top-10 lists, tourist traps, and over-optimized recommendations. Instead, we want to support real local knowledge, small businesses, and the kind of places that give a city its soul.
If you know the best bakery in your neighborhood, the quiet street with the perfect sunset, or the walk that makes your city feel special — share it. Your local knowledge can turn someone’s trip into a memory.
With love, from the road —
Nanka & Harry
